UAE Sponsor Visa
The UAE Sponsor Visa is a visa issued to immediate relatives of a resident of the United Arab Emirates who wish to reside in the country for a long period of time. The visa is applied for through the GDRFA Dubai website or the Amer Immigration Center. The sponsor (resident visa holder) must apply for the dependent visa.

The relative visa is valid for the same period of time as the visa of its principal holder. It can be renewed within 30 days of the expiry date.
UAE Family Visa Requirements
  • You can only sponsor an unmarried daughter and a son under the age of 18;
  • For sons over the specified age, proof of enrollment in a higher education institution is required;
  • Unmarried children require the consent of their biological parents;
  • When sponsoring parents, the salary of the sponsor must be at least 20,000 AED; it is also necessary to rent accommodation that meets certain requirements;
  • At the time of visa application, a family member can be both inside and outside the UAE.
Documents required to obtain a dependent visa in the UAE
If you decide to sponsor your relative, you will need to prepare the following documents

  • An original or scanned copy of your valid passport;
  • Your currently valid residency visa;
  • Your identity card (Emirates ID);
  • Documents legalized in the Emirates proving your relationship to those for whom you are applying for a visa (children's birth certificates/marriage certificates);
  • Passports of the relatives you are sponsoring;
  • Documents confirming the required level of income (certificate from your employer);
  • Proof of rental accommodation or tenancy agreement
  • A passport-sized photograph of the person for whom you are applying for a visa.

The complete package of documents must be submitted to the place of application (Amer Center) by yourself or by a second person acting on the basis of a power of attorney.
What sponsorship visas are available in the UAE?
  1. Spouse Visa. If the sponsor for children and spouse is a spouse, his/her salary should be not less than 3,000 AED (if he/she has accommodation provided by the company-employer) and not less than 4,000 AED (without accommodation provided).
  2. Visa for Spouse. If the sponsor is a spouse, the requirements for her salary are the same if she works in the fields of education, medicine or engineering. You should check with the GDRFA to make sure she meets the requirements. A spouse working in other fields must have an income level of at least 8,000 AED (if she has accommodation provided by the employing company).
  3. UAE Family Visa. If you are sponsoring children and parents, there are different requirements.
Obtaining a UAE Sponsor Visa
  1. Upon preparation and submission of all documents, the sponsored person will be issued an entry permit - e-visa - within five days. It can be received by email, printed and presented as required. It can also be saved on your mobile phone.
  2. Next, the sponsored person must arrive in the UAE or change their status to resident if they are already in the country.
  3. Everyone except children under the age of 15 must undergo a medical examination. Sponsors with certain medical conditions may be denied a visa.
  4. Everyone except children under the age of 15 must be fingerprinted.
  5. After successfully completing all the above steps, the sponsored person will be issued with the eagerly awaited Dubai Sponsorship Visa and Identity Card.
  6. The entire process from application to visa issuance takes approximately 15 days.
