Retiree Visas - What are they?
The United Arab Emirates is an economic, multicultural and industrial center that offers ideal conditions for study, work and business development. In order to demonstrate that not only young people, but also people of mature age can live comfortably in the country, the UAE Retirement Program was developed. Who can participate in this program and what you need to do is analyzed in this article.
Retirement Visa Dubai
The "Retire in Dubai" program was launched in 2020. It provided an opportunity for people who have reached the age of 55 to obtain a retirement visa in the UAE for relocation. Initially, only those who had lived in the Emirates for many years and retired here could participate. Now, however, citizens of other countries who have never visited the UAE can become candidates for the visa.

The five-year Retiree Visa is issued upon reaching the age of 55, providing documented proof of retired status, and meeting one of the following conditions:

  1. Owning an Emirati real estate property with a minimum value of 2,000 000 AED that has not been purchased with a mortgage.
  2. An account in a UAE banking institution with a minimum value of 1,000 000 AED.
  3. Monthly income of at least 20, 000 AED.
  4. The presence of a bank account and real estate in the Emirates with a total value of at least 2,000 000 AED.

The visa is valid for five years and can be renewed several times, provided that the same requirements are met as when the visa was granted.
